Did you know there's a Faceless Old Woman action figure which secretly exists on store shelves?

There's a Doctor Who character called Grandma Connolly, from the 2006 TV episode "The Idiot's Lantern." In the story, she's a sweet 1950s grandma who gets her face stolen by the monster of the week. Grandma's family proceeds to hide her upstairs, away from authorities; she ends up a faceless old woman who secretly lives in their home.

In 2006 they released a Doctor Who action figure of Faceless Grandma Connolly, with swappable heads to enable one to display her in her normal or faceless state. I have a feeling Night Vale listeners might prefer the latter.

The Faceless Grandma Connolly figure is out of production these days, but still pretty easy to find on eBay and Amazon, at scifi/comic shops, and elsewhere on the secondhand, overstock, and collectors' markets. If one prefers, she can be repainted from her standard pink flowery dress to something more Night-Vale-appropriate; your mental image may vary. (с)
